Super Raw Life Magazine, A Silk Scarf - And The Sundance Film Festival

This is my nephew, Brad Gruno. A great guy.
(And not too hard on the eyes.)

This is his company, "Brad's Raw Chips". Deeeeelicious stuff!!
(Please check out his website for store locations.)

This is Brad's friend, Brian James Lucas, aka, "Chef BeLive".
The creator of the most scrumptious raw cuisine!!

And here is the fabulous, Michele Marie Jeppson,
at the "Sundance Film Festival"!!
Wearing my hand-painted silk scarf, painted especially for her.
(Oh, how I wish I could have tagged along!!)

It's funny how things happen -
It all began when nephew Brad and I took a little trip to the Wine Country,
in Northern California. (More on that in an upcoming post!)
He introduced me to his good friend Chef BeLive.

Through him I found out about a fantastic magazine called,
(There is an article about him and Michele, in this issue.)
For some reason, my computer wouldn't let me download it -
So I decided to email someone there, to see if they could help me out.
I randomly picked a name... it was Michele's.

In the signature on the bottom of all of my emails, I have a link to my blog and my website.
Michele went to my website, Gabriele Agustini, and saw that I hand-painted silk scarves.
She liked my work and contacted me.

The new issue of Super Raw Life Magazine was supposed to be out today,
2/1, but I found out last night, that it was delayed. :(
I'll let you know the new date, as soon as I know!
I hope you'll take a look. Not only because it's a really, really cool magazine,
but because I'm being featured in it!! :-)
(They'd appreciate a donation, but it's a free download.)

I can't wait to see the article and the photos!
Am I concerned about the silk pieces showing up well?
The colors being correct? The studio being spotless?
No.
I'm just hoping I remembered to suck in my stomach.

Here are a few shots of work in progress,
a finished silk scarf, and some velvet scarves as well.

Silk, stretched on the stretcher-bars, ready to go.

I love, love, love painting on silk!!

I hope it shows.

"Butterflies & Fireflies" - velvet.

"Maple Leaves" - velvet.

"Asian Influence" - velvet.

I hope you'll take a peek at the magazine and the other websites as well. Thank you!

There are SO many things to love!
I love "Followers" and comments too!
(Thank you.)

Signing off for now,
gabriele

The older he gets, the better he looks.
