Raw Chocolate Goodness

There isn't a day that goes by, that I don't have a big-time craving for sweets.
Nope. There is not. I'm talking aaalll daaayyy looong.
(Great. Now that song'll be stuck in my head.)

I came across a wonderful website, with really fabulous recipes - and I couldn't wait to try them out.
I chose something sweet. Surprise, surprise!
These are the ingredients. For the actual recipe and gorgeous photographs, I'll send you to the website at the end of this blog. You're gonna love it there!
Just remember to come back. (Because you love me more, right?)

The things I needed to begin. I know I've said it before, but I adore my BlendTec blender!
I couldn't be a raw-foodist without it. And the grandkids love the things we make with it.
(Even though it's healthy stuff. :)

 Grinding the cashews into flour.

Mixing the ingredients for the the crust.

 Putting it into the pie-tin.

Smushed it into the pan to make it all nice and even.
I just have to say that I despise the tile on my kitchen counters! The grout just makes it look icky, no matter how clean it is. :(
I'd love some marble counter-tops! Someday. Yes. Please.

Gathered the stuff for the filling. I ended up not using the Cinnamon.
I added Vanilla Extract though. I love that taste.

I used Pecans, because I'm intolerant to the nuts she chose.
This was the part I liked the least. Standing there and chopping the nuts. Hurry up already, so I can eat the dang thing!

Mixed it all together and gave it a good taste-test. Ohhh yeahhh!

I may have used a little too much oil, so I drained some of it off the filling, before putting it in the pie-tin.
Mental-note to self, "Use less oil the next time". Who am I trying to kid? Let me write that down.

 Ohhh...  so pretty.

Now for the glaze. Quick 'n easy and really good!

Poured that stuff over the filling...

And spread it over the top. Stuck it in the freezer for half an hour, while counting the minutes...  like an impatient, little kid.

Taaa Daaa!!! Sorry this picture is so blurry. I was probably shaking at the excitement of it all.

Time to indulge!!  ~
